Terms to Help You Understand Your Checklist
During the early stages of your application process, your checklist will be updated as you fulfill each requirement for admission.
A ❌ indicates that an item has not yet been uploaded to your application or your admissions status portal.
If you have uploaded this item already and the red “X” is still next to the item after 15 minutes, please email gradschool@louisville.edu for assistance updating your checklist.
A ✅ indicates that an item has been received.
For items such as transcripts, test scores and credential evaluations, it is important to note if an item shows as “Received” or “Received Copy.” If “Received Copy” is showing under a listed checklist requirement, this means that only an unofficial copy is on file. For information regarding the requirements for official documents, please review our General Application Requirements.
Note that your checklist is subject to change if your prospective department or the Graduate School requires further documentation to come to an admissions decision.
Upon Admission
Checklist Item: "Official Final 'Name of Your Previous Institution'"
If a student is working towards a degree from a previous institution and will be awarded a degree after admission to the University of Louisville, they will be required to submit an official final transcript that shows the degree conferral date. This document may be submitted anytime between the degree conferral date and the start of the enrollment period for the student's second semester at UofL.
Checklist Item: "Official 'Name of Your Previous Institution'"
If a student submitted an unofficial copy of their transcript prior to the release of their admissions decision, they will be required to submit an official copy of their transcript anytime between their time of admission and the start of the enrollment period for the student's second semester at UofL.
Checklist Item: "Official Final 'INTL: Education Credential Evaluation'"
Students that have submitted unofficial copies of their credential evaluations prior to their admission to UofL must complete a request through their evaluation agency/service to have an official course-by-course evaluation sent to the Graduate Admissions Office or to our email gradadm@louisville.edu.
If students have not previously completed a request for a credential evaluation, please refer to our International Credential Evaluation information.
Checklist Item: "Official 'Name of Test Score'"
If students did not submit official test scores prior to admission, official test scores must be submitted to UofL through the testing service.
