International Credential Evaluation

Streamline your admission process at the University of Louisville by having your international credentials evaluated!

The University of Louisville requires an international credential evaluation for all students who have attended colleges, universities and postsecondary programs outside of the United States. Currently, all international students must have their credentials reviewed by an approved evaluation company that can provide an evaluation of their transcripts. Please see NACES Members and AICE Members lists to select an evaluation service.

The following agencies have created a custom application for the University of Louisville Graduate School that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate:

We also provide the credential requirements and a list of all agencies, along with the required evaluation.

Once you have selected your evaluation service, please ensure that the following requirements are met prior to placing your order:

  • The evaluation ordered needs to be a course-by-course evaluation
  • If the official credentials are not in English, a certified translation of the credentials must also be submitted, along with the original document.
  • Documents should be submitted in a sealed, unopened envelope from the issuing institution or directly via email from the agency to gradadm@louisville.edu.
  • If students have completed a degree, they must provide “Diploma or Degree Certificate” including the name of the degree and date of conferral.

When there are challenges related to political unrest, refugee status, natural disaster, etc., UofL may, on a case-by-case basis, modify or partially waive the requirements related to international credentials.
