Graduate education is more than earning a degree. It is a journey of discovery. It is where bold ideas are explored, meaningful research is created, and future leaders find their voice. Every graduate student who walks through our doors brings a story, a dream, and the possibility to make an impact on our university, our communities and our world.
As Interim Dean, I believe one of the most powerful traits we can cultivate is curiosity. Curiosity pushes us to ask better questions, seek deeper understanding, challenge assumptions and pursue innovation. It is the spark behind groundbreaking research, transformative teaching, creative problem-solving and personal growth. In the Graduate School, we want our students to remain relentlessly curious about their disciplines, about the world around them, and about the opportunities ahead of them.
But curiosity alone is not enough. Success happens when curiosity is matched with support, encouragement, and community. That is why our Graduate School is deeply committed to student success. We are here to advocate for our students, remove barriers, create opportunities and help every graduate student thrive academically, professionally and personally.
Our faculty and staff are not simply administrators and educators, but they are mentors, partners, and champions for student achievement. Together, we are building a graduate experience that is collaborative, innovative, inclusive and focused on preparing students for meaningful careers and lives of impact.
