At the University of Louisville Graduate School, we understand that funding is a crucial aspect of your graduate education journey. Here we share a wide array of funding opportunities to support both prospective and current students. Whether you are just beginning to explore your graduate school options or want to continue your education, we hope you’ll find these resources useful.
It’s important to note that doctoral students are more likely to find funding that covers full tuition, stipend, and health insurance while they are enrolled at UofL. Funding for master’s students, while available, is more limited and depends greatly on the program of study. As such, students may be required to seek out their own funding or utilize other financial aid sources.
Stipends for doctoral students are sufficient for only one person to live frugally; students with dependents must have other sources of income to support these dependents.
Below, you’ll find a number of ways you can fund your graduate education. Funding may come from the Graduate School, your academic unit or department, external agencies or scholarships, and may cover all or part of your education and basic living expenses.
