Research comes in many styles across the disclipines and we aim to be as inclusive as possible. Below is information for each of the research styles we are anticipating. If you are considering something different, please view the "Other" tab for more information.
Presentation Styles
This is the "standard" powerpoint and podium presentation style. Talks are expected to be 10 minutes (8 minutes for presenting and 2 minutes for questions).
Judges will be present and prizes will be awarded for the best oral presentation of the conference!
Printer posters can be hung up and dedicated poster session time will be scheduled for viewing and discussions. Presenters can choose to present both a poster and oral presentation.
Judges will be visiting posters and prizes awarded to the best poster presentation of the conference! (Note that you will need to be at your poster for judging.)
For the first year, we are actively encouraging the submission of artistic and creative works! We remain limited by the venue rules however. At this point, we are able to accommodate submissions that can be presented on a table, pedestal, or easel. We cannot accept any submissions that need to affix anything to the walls or ceiling, or that would cause any damage or staining to floors, carpet, etc.
Any submission that does not adhere to these guidelines or could cause any damage to the venue, may not be allowed to present.
If there any questions about these restrictions or a potential submission please email Kyle Cook.
Judges will be present and prizes award to the best art gallery submission of the conference! (Note that you will need to be present at your submission during the assigned art gallery judging time for consideration.)
Does your research not fit into any of the above categories? If you have a different presentation type (music, performance, etc), please email Kyle Cook with your needs so we can try to make arrangements for your presentation needs.
We strive to be as inclusive as possible but most also adhere to venue rules and may be limited by the spaces that we have reserved. Please reach out! We would like to include your submission if at all possible!
