The Graduate School offers many programs and events to support graduate students' professional development. Programs vary, from one-off workshops where students can begin or refine their knowledge or skills, to series of workshops designed as professional development communities, to selective, semester-long academies for students to gain more in-depth experience with a topic. Academies
Selective, non-credit-bearing short courses designed to supplement students' knowledge and skills in teaching, community engaged scholarship, publishing, and mentoring.

Build knowledge and skills with a group of students interested in similar topics.

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition
Compete or attend in this international competition where students have 3 minutes and 1 Powerpoint slide to tell a compelling story of their research.
