The Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of a student’s educational expenses for the period of enrollment—actual expenses will vary. The COA includes expenses billed directly by UofL (tuition, fees, housing and meal plans) as well as expenses not billed directly by UofL (transportation and other personal costs). The Student Financial Office establishes COA data to calculate eligibility for need-based and other aid programs. COA varies based on residency status, program type, career, housing type and enrollment status.
If you are attending UofL at least half-time, the COA includes an estimate for the following expenses:
- Tuition and Fees
- Books, course materials, supplies and equipment
- Transportation expense
- Miscellaneous personal expense
- Living expenses
Please note that the COA does not include expenses related to dependents or others living with you. Thus, transportation expenses, miscellaneous personal expenses or living expenses are estimated at a rate for an individual student.
