Graduate students at GSC research conference.

Graduate Student Council

The Graduate Student Council (GSC) at the University of Louisville represents all nonprofessional graduate students, advocating for their academic, leadership and professional development. Every student pursuing a graduate degree is automatically a member of the GSC. Excluded students, MD, DMD, JD, MBA, or MEng, are represented by governance within their academic unit. Our executive officers and departmental representatives collaborate to set policies, support graduate research and create programming that enhances the graduate experience.

The GSC serves as a platform for open communication between students and university leadership and provides opportunities for graduate students to engage in governance roles within the Student Government Association (SGA) and beyond. By advocating for student rights and promoting academic initiatives, the GSC plays a vital role in shaping a thriving, supportive graduate community.

Join us in building a strong, dynamic graduate community where your voice matters!
