Directors of Graduate Studies

The Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) serves as the administrative coordinator for a graduate program.

Together with the program faculty, the University of Louisville's DGS is involved in admissions decisions, ensures students adhere to program and Graduate School policies for graduate education, monitors progress of students in the program, and serves as an advocate for students in their program. The DGS is typically a faculty member in the graduate program and a member of the graduate faculty.
