Unity Welcome Reception

The Graduate School partners with the Multicultural Association of Graduate Students (MAGS) for the Unity Welcome Reception, where we kick off the academic year by celebrating the rich tapestry of experiences that diverse graduate students bring to our community.

The Unity Welcome Reception is more than a welcome – it’s a celebration of the unique contributions to our graduate community. It's an opportunity to forge meaningful connections, share experiences, and engage in conversations that inspire and empower. We believe that by coming together, we can create a vibrant, inclusive campus community where all students can thrive and succeed. 

Events like the Unity Welcome Reception are vital because they create welcoming spaces where all students feel seen, respected and valued. Intentionally designed to help new and returning graduate students connect with peers, faculty and staff who share a commitment to equity and inclusivity, attendees build a supportive network that will be invaluable throughout their academic career.
