UofL Graduate Student Appreciation Week gives us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate graduate students while supporting their continued success. Whether it be by hosting coffee breaks or lunches, sharing snacks or tokens of appreciation, all offices and departments on both the Belknap and HSC campuses are welcome to participate in the week's festivities.

For graduate students, each day you donate three or more items, you’ll receive one additional entry in that day’s prize drawing. You can earn one bonus entry per day during the week of November 10–14, 2025.
For these items to count towards your extra entry, please bring the items to the Graduate School Office (Houchens, Rm 105) or to a Graduate School-sponsored event on HSC or Belknap Campus.

| All Graduate Students: You are invited to Talk, Tea, and Treats with the University Libraries this week! Take a break from your research and writing to enjoy a warm cup of tea and chat with a subject librarian. Whether you're deeply engaged in your thesis, beginning your dissertation, or exploring other research projects, we’re here to offer support, guidance, or simply a friendly chat. Monday-Thursday, 1 - 4pm in the Research Office - Ekstrom Library. No specific research topic is required; just stop by to learn more about how your subject librarian can support you once you're ready to begin! |
| *Sociology graduate students: Sociology graduate students are invited to enjoy snacks and drinks each evening before class during the week, Monday-Thursday, 30 minutes prior to the start of class each evening. Students will be notified by email from the department as well as by their instructors. |
| *CEHD graduate students: The CEHD Graduate Student Success Office invites CEHD graduate students to Throwback Snack Edition! Stop by the CEHD Graduate Student Success Office for a week of Throwback Snacks, a variety of tasty foods throughout the week, and swag giveaways! Flyers will also be posted in CEHD. | All Graduate Students: William Shakespeare's As You Like It: Come one, come all (graduate students, that is) to a theatrical production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It - set in a 1926 circus. Graduate and Undergraduate performers and technicians are transforming the Playhouse Theatre into a Big Top. Performers will be speaking the speech trippingly on the tongue while performing various circus feats. Tickets are free for all graduate students during Graduate Student Appreciation Week, Friday, November 14 (7:30pm); Saturday, November 15 (7:30pm); Sunday, November 16 (2:00pm). The Belknap Playhouse - 1911 South 3rd Street. Students will need to reserve tickets and pick out their seats before the day of the show at the Theatre Arts Box Office at 2314 South Floyd Street. The event is open to everyone, but only graduate students can get free tickets during Grad Student Appreciation Week.
