Graduate Administrative Assistantships

A graduate administrative Assistantship (GAA) (sometimes referred to as a service assistantship or GSA) is assigned to a particular professor, project or office and typically assumes responsibilities according to the need of the supervisor. While in some cases these responsibilities may include research or teaching, they are often more administrative in nature and may involve demonstration of project management, event production, assessment or reporting, student services, marketing or operations within higher education.

These assistantships are not administered centrally, and so locating these opportunities can sometimes be a challenge.
