STUDENT RESEARCH PARTICIPATION AT THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR TOXICOLOGICAL RESEARCH
The Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education invites applications for research participation at the National Center for Toxicological Research. The program provides opportunities to participate in research on biological effects of potentially toxic chemicals and solutions to toxicology problems that have a major impact on human health and the environment. Relevant disciplines include biological sciences, chemistry, computer sciences, mathematics, medicine, toxicology, and pharmacology.
Only US citizens are eligible. Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at accredited colleges and universities may apply. The program duration varies from one month to one year with renewal options. Stipends are based on research area(s) and educational level.
Deadline: March 15, 2009 for summer appointments; applications accepted on year-round basis for academic-year appointments
