The purpose of the Nonprofit Sector Research Fund (part of the Aspen Institute) is to expand knowledge of the nonprofit sector, improve practices, and inform public policy.  One mechanism for doing this is enlarging the number of creative scholars that are interested in pursuing nonprofit studies.  The application guidelines can be found at http://www.nonprofitresearch.org.
