STUDENT RESEARCH PARTICIPATION AT THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION

The Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education invites applications for research participation at the at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The program provides opportunities to participate in research in infectious diseases, environmental health, epidemiology, or occupational safety and health. Relevant disciplines include communications and graphic design; life, health, and medical sciences; physical sciences; economics; environmental health; epidemiology; and occupational safety and health.

There are no citizenship requirements. Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at accredited colleges or universities working toward degrees in professional science, engineering, or public health disciplines are eligible. The program duration varies from one month to one year with renewal options making it up to four years maximum. Stipends are based on research area(s) and educational level.
